When live ordering is available, information may include a customer’s name, email address, billing and delivery details, order contents and communications about the order. Technical information such as device, browser, approximate location and site activity may also be processed to operate, secure and improve the storefront.

The final policy will identify the categories actually collected and why each is needed.

Checkout is designed to use Stripe for payment processing. Payment-card details entered into Stripe Checkout are handled by Stripe rather than stored in this storefront’s application code. Stripe’s own privacy terms apply to its processing.

• To provide the storefront and process, deliver and support orders.
• To respond to questions and communicate important service information.
• To prevent misuse, diagnose problems and keep the service secure.
• To understand and improve how the storefront works.
• To meet applicable accounting, tax or other legal obligations once confirmed.

The storefront may rely on providers for hosting, payments, delivery, email, analytics and other business operations. The final policy will identify relevant provider categories and explain when information may be disclosed, including when required to operate an order or respond to a valid legal requirement.

Final retention periods and procedures for privacy requests are still being established. Before launch, this section will explain available choices and how customers may request access, correction or deletion where applicable.
